Welcome to Images of Sri Lanka (ISL) (www.imagesofsrilanka.com), the fastest growing online stock photo library based in Sri Lanka. As a photographer, no matter whether you are at home or workplace, living in Sri Lanka or abroad or even on the move, now you can upload photos to ISL, showcase it and sell all over the world. Upon free registration with ISL, not only you can sell your photos, you can readily access your account details, track what photos you have sold, at what price and the total amount you have earned.
How to submit your photos:
IMPORTANT:
To become a member you should have photos taken with a Digital camera and each photo should be above 1MP. ISL requests you to submit highest possible quality photos. Submitting HIGH QUALITY PHOTOS (HIGHER RESOLUTIONS) dramatically increases your earnings. Higher the quality of the photo you submit increases the amount you earn.

Complete the “Submitter Registration” form and attach 5 of your photos above 1 MP. |

Read the “Submitter Terms and Conditions” and click the “I Agree” link to accept it and submit your registration. |
That’s it - once we receive your completed registration form and after an inspection process, ISL will inform the applicant via email, its decision to accept or reject your registration. The inspection process usually takes 24 – 72 hours.
Before upload your photos:
Registrations may be rejected due to technical issues pertaining to the images. Hence applicants are advised to make a note of these common errors before uploading:
- Low resolution photos (below 1MB),
- Photos which have been up-sampled (resolution increased in a manual process),
- Out of focus photos,
- Photos embedded with own watermarks, website names, or copyright notices,
- Photos containing explicit nudity
ISL has the sole authority to accept or reject of photos, imagery, drawings, illustrations or vector designs submitted by the submitters and its registered members.
How you can earn money with ISL:
Submitters (Sri Lankan citizens):
Each time ISL sells any of your photos through its website (www.imagesofsrilanka.com), ISL offers you 20% – 70% value of the sale. The percentage will be decided depending on the amount of approved photos (content) ISL has.
Submitters (Non-Sri Lankan citizens):
Each time ISL sells any of your photos through its website (www.imagesofsrilanka.com), ISL offers you 30% – 60% value of the sale. The percentage will be decided depending on the amount of approved photos (content) ISL has.
Please note this percentage is not fixed permanently and may vary time to time.
How to track your earnings:
Once you become a registered Submitter with ISL, you will be assigned with a Submitter account. With this account, you can monitor and track the transactions have taken place with your photos/imagery. If ISL has sold any of your photos, this account will show the images sold and the amount you have earned.
How to collect your earnings:
The submitter as a Sri Lankan citizen, once earnings reach $100 or more, you can collect the payment from ISL or can make arrangements to transfer it to a bank account of your choice. For non-Sri Lankan submitters the limit is US$200 or more.

Since we are hoping to expand certain categories in our library, we would like to have more photos from the list given below. Those are a few categories, which have a strong demand but it does not mean that the other categories listed in the homepage, are at low demand.
